EVIMED 60 contains the active substance Raloxifene Hydrochloride. Raloxifene Hydrochloride belongs to a group of non-hormonal medicines called Selective Oestrogen Receptor Modulators. EVIMED 60 is used to treat and prevent osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. When a woman reaches the menopause, the level of the female sex hormone oestrogen goes down. EVIMED 60 mimics some of the helpful effects of oestrogen after the menopause. Also, Raloxifene Hydrochloride reduces the risk of spine fractures and decrease the risk of estrogen-dependent breast cancer by 65 percent over eight years.
